Frankly, I will only believe that Bala and his family are safe and sound when he appears in public and explain why he made SD2 and who pressured him to make SD2.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have started recording a statement from “missing” private investigator P. Balasubramaniam whose whereabouts was traced to a neighbouring country.
Bukit Aman CID Director Comm Datuk Mohd Bakri Zinin said a Bukit Aman team left Wednesday afternoon to meet Balasubramaniam.
“It is going to take us some time to record his statement, as he must be comfortable in doing so. I cannot tell you where he is for safety and security reasons, or when he is coming back,” he added.
The statement is in connection with the two statutory declarations made by Balasubramaniam, first alleging that Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had an affair with murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu, and then retracting it within 24 hours.
Comm Bakri said the police were able to trace Balasubramaniam’s whereabouts following information provided by the authorities in that country.
He also declined to say when police came to know of Balasubramaniam’s whereabouts.
